The compact DCR-TRV33 is sized for easy portability — wherever you go, take it along. And it's furnished with lots of goodies designed to provide excellent results with minimal effort.

For instance, Super SteadyShot® stabilizes the picture (no more dizzying shakes and bounces!). Use Super NightShot® with Color Slow Shutter to film in dark settings, and take advantage of 10X optical zoom to capture your subject up close. Not only does the 'TRV33's 2-1/2' color SwivelScreen™ give you a clear, full-color view of your subject — it's also a touch-panel. That means you can easily navigate the cam's menus, or even set the focus or exposure, just by tapping the screen! Want to snap digital photos? The DCR-TRV33 can handle that, too — still image resolution goes up to a nice, crisp 1152 x 864.

This cam will also capture MPEG movie clips that you can e-mail to friends and family, and even serves as a webcam by streaming live or recorded footage to your PC's USB port. General Features Memory Stick Compatibility: This camcorder is compatible with Memory Stick, MagicGate Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO and Memory Stick Duo recording media.

All four types of Memory Stick can be used to record still pictures and moving images. Although this unit is compatible with MagicGate Memory Stick and Memory Stick PRO media, it cannot be used to record or play back music protected by copyright signals.

A Memory Stick Duo adapter is required to use Memory Stick Duo media with this camcorder. This results in vivid image brilliance, true-to-life color saturation and perfect renditions of subtle tones. USB Terminal: Using the USB cable and software provided, you can process and organize still images on your PC. IEEE 1394 DV Terminal: The camcorder is equipped with a 4-pin DV IN/OUT terminal that conforms to IEEE 1394 standards. 2.5' Touch Panel Color LCD Screen: When the LCD screen is out, it can be rotated up to 270 degrees, allowing you to choose the best angle. You can also push the panel flat against the camcorder until it is flush with the side, with the screen facing outwards. The LCD screen's touch-sensitive panel provides easy navigation of the camcorder's menus.

Backlight: When you shoot a subject with the light source behind the subject or a subject with a light background, you can use the backlight function. Super NightShot: This feature allows you to shoot a subject in complete darkness (0 lux) by using infra-red technology. Pictures taken in this mode are not in color, but in monochrome.

There is a NightShot Light with a range of about 10 feet. The Super NightShot mode makes subjects appear about 16x brighter than NightShot mode and the shutter speed is automatically changed to slow.

There is also a Color Slow Shutter setting that enables you to record color images in the dark. Self-Timer Recording: If you want to record yourself, the self-timer recording feature will automatically start recording 10 seconds after being activated. Using the self-timer, you can record moving images on a tape and Memory Stick, plus, you can record still images on a Memory Stick.
