Msi U100 Wifi Driver For Mac
I have two MSI Wind U100 netbooks running Ubuntu 10.04. Both exhibit the same wireless networking problem. Problem: Only occasionally able to connect to a a variety of wireless access points. When they do connect they regularly fail to stay connected. If the connection fails then they fail to reconnect sometimes for days on end.
Other times they connect again without too much trouble. Sometime the connection has to be deleted and then re-created in Network Manager for them to be able to reconnect. Something this works, sometimes it doesn't. I have tried using a variety of measures:. Different wifi channels. Less complex passwords (I am using WPA2-PSK).
Making the SSID visible/invisible. Installing and using WiCd instead of Network Manager. Different WAPs in different locations Absolutely nothing works or enables me to achieve a reliable wifi connection. I have searched the forums and it seems some people have major problems whilst others seem to have none. Wired connections are no problem at all. This problem is driving me nuts. Any suggestions?

I can connect to wifi, but if the machine goes to sleep, i loose the connection and I cant connect to anything until i restart. I have tried turning the wifi on and off and disabling the wifi but no luck. Fortunately restarting the machine is pretty quick and works almost every time. Post if you find out anything - I will do the same.

I was having a problem with an MSI Wind U100 - problems connecting to my wireless network. After a some time spent searching with no luck I figured out that on that model (MSI U100) at least in my case Fn & Ctrl keys are switched, so instead of Fn & F11 pressing Ctrl & F11 does the trick of enabling WiFi. Hope this helps. Zeke Hi All, i had the same problem with my MSI u100. It drove me mad.
Some buttons on the keyboard would not work. No back space no delete and the wireless would not switch on.

ANYWAY i have solved the issue and i was amazed. (To turn the wireless on you must press FN F11), but it would not switch on because the problem is in the keyboard cable connection. (the problem was the keyboard cable not correctly connected ). These laptops have a temperamental keyboard cable connector and for some reason dislodge. When i got the keyboard off i immediately noticed half the cable was not correctly in the slot and hence all the problems. Growl 1.2.2 download for mac.
Once i managed to get it back in EVERYTHING WORKED 100%. So you need to check your keyboard cable connection go here to learn how to remove the keyboard. VERY EASY ON A SEPARATE NOTE NOW: if you are having issues starting the laptop and going to windows XP please do the following. Switch off take out battery hold down power button for 20 seconds. Replace battery NOW WITHOUT TURNING ON HOLD DOWN THE F3 key.
While holding down the F3 key switch it on. It will now reload the original bios and windows xp system files.
Follow the onscreen instructions. It works perfectly now no drama, IT TOOK LESS THAN 15 MINUTES. God bless and I hope this helps all.
